As an Accounting & Reporting Expert you will be joining our Finance department. In the Finance department, our goal is rather straightforward: we take care of the finances for the organization and our entire family of 17 global brands. The department spans four sub-departments: Tax and Accounting; Business Planning and Performance; Investor Relations; and Treasury and Insurance. The impact on the organization is tangible: we provide insights that enable our colleagues to offer the right guidance and targets for the business, and drive innovation and change in different domains of the company. All our Finance teams are filled with smart, high-performing finance professionals who enjoy pioneering and taking ownership of their work.
You will be given the freedom and responsibility to take ownership of your work and broaden your horizons by working together with knowledgeable colleagues from different countries who have an abundance of expertise in many areas. We will continuously support you and help you build on your talents and skills for the future.
The Accounting & Reporting Expert is responsible for the following tasks:
- Posting, reconciling, and controlling the general ledger, including all incoming and outgoing documentation; posting depreciation; reconciling liabilities and receivables
- Participating in the preparation of financial reports for both local and Ahold Delhaize reporting purposes
- Posting bank statements and performing all accounting activities related to Treasury
- Preparing cash flow reports for internal reporting purposes
- Maintaining cost centers in SAP
- Reporting for the Group in the area of Sustainability (Health & Safety)
We think you’ll be best geared for success if you meet the following requirements:
- Minimum IV level of economic or other professional education
- English language proficiency at B1 level or higher (required)
- Advanced proficiency in Excel
- Experience working with SAP will be considered an advantage
- Minimum 3 years of experience in same or similar roles
